The terrariums need bright indirect light; for example, in a north facing window, or away from the window in a brightly lit room. Make sure there is no direct sun on the terrarium as this can kill the plants.
The short answer is no, the terrariums do not need watering. As a closed system the water gets recycled, evaporating then condensing onto the glass before returning back down to the substrate.
Yes, generally speaking, the lid should be kept on. Once a week, take off the lid and give a little blow into the container. If your lid comes with a small white sticker on the side you can take this off. That is only there to ensure the lid stays in place for transport after picking up your terrarium.
If the plants grow too big for the containers, or you want to reduce the size of a plant for aesthetic reasons, you can take a clean pair of scissors and prune the plants. Take care to remove any large amounts of pruning debris from the terrarium.
